Vocational Skills and Human Rights in rural Nicaragua.

CESESMA is a small indigenous NGO, focussing on the promotion of educational and human rights of children and young people in rural areas of Nicaragua. ElectricAid has had a modest-enough funding relationship with CESESMA since 2005 – our total commitment in that time has been just over €30,000.

Our most recent funding was for a vocational woodworking programme, imparting practical and life skills for 12-16 year-olds. The programme has been a big success; our funding of €6,813 has given new hope and life chances to 37 vulnerable and under-served young people.
