Aidlink visited this farmers group at Naleewo along the river Turkwell, in Northern Kenya. With support from Electric Aid in 2016, this group of 25 agro-pastoralist families was provided with access to water and trained in sustainable agriculture. Normally this river is flowing year-round but the drought means that water has receded significantly and it ran dry twice this year. Although the current drought continues to present a challenge to the families of, they have at least managed to use the water and their training to grow some vegetables and stave off the worst effects of the drought..
