ElectricAid Emergency Appeal reaches €24,742

ElectricAid’s Emergency Appeal for UNICEF’s Get a Vaccine, Give a Vaccine campaign has just reached €24,742. A special word of thanks to the Energy Services Union for a generous donation of €6,000 on behalf of members.

Funds donated will be used as part of the biggest vaccine rollout in history funding the  procurement, transport and distribution vaccines to healthcare workers in low and middle income countries who continue to fight coronavirus outbreaks daily while many go unvaccinated.

Commenting on the campaign, ElectricAid Chair, Judith Doherty added “Thank you to everyone who has supported the campaign so far. As Ireland continues to enjoy the safety and freedom afforded by vaccination, this is still a long way off for many countries. Thanks to your generosity UNICEF can continue their work to bring vaccines to some of the most marginalised communities and healthcare workers in the world”

The Appeal has closed for donations, please keep an eye on our website for updates.
